DARK Postdoc Fellowships: Located at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, DARK’s areas of research include, but are not limited to: observations, simulations and theory of astrophysical transients and cosmic explosions (including gravitational waves, tidal disruption events and supernovae), neutrino astrophysics, high-redshift galaxies, fundamental cosmology, dark matter and dark energy, black holes and AGN, and cosmic dust.


DARK Fellowships are typically for a period of 3 years with the possibility of extension.


Currently, the monthly salary starts at DKK 34,364 (5200 USD) per month; a supplement can be negotiated depending on qualifications and family situation.

Current CV (maximum 2 pages) including an ORCID identifier

Brief (max 2-page) cover letter, stating research interests and plans

Timeline & process 

Deadline of application is December 9, 2019

Interviews will be conducted in January 2020
Offers will be made in January and February 2020

Selection of the successful candidates will be based on demonstrated originality, outstanding research accomplishments and promise of future achievement.
